Moslems should unite

From Pelita

When civil war raged in Bosnia, the Islamic countries became one in their struggle against Serbs. Recalling the 1995 slaughter in Sebrenica, we cannot help but regret the cruel acts of Serbian soldiers.

Why does this senseless killing which destroys the lives of so many men and women continue to go on? Why is it that there no end or settlement in sight?

I deeply regret the silence and inactivity of countries united in the Organization of Islamic Conference (OKI). I appeal to all who profess the faith of Islam wherever they may be, to unite in the fight against those who kill Moslems.

Let us preserve the unity of our nation, religion and Islam. It is my hope that all Moslems will be given strength and be led along the path of righteousness.
