More troops guard border

KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: The Indonesian Military (TNI) will tighten security in the border connecting East Nusa Tenggara and East Timor to anticipate further gun smuggling.

Wirasakti's Military Commander Col. Jurefar said more troops will be added to closely guard the border area.

The beefing up of border security comes after TNI recently arrested suspected arms smuggler and militia leader Moko Soares, Antara reported on Thursday.

"Soares is now under police investigation," he added. (01)
