More trains in delays

JAKARTA: The extra trains provided over the Idul Fitri holiday
and the railroad accident in Tegal, Central Java, have delayed
the arrival of more trains at Gambir station, Central Jakarta.

"We cannot do anything to prevent delays as long as we still
operate the additional trains. The trains may arrive two to five
hours late," spokesman of state-run railway operator PT KAI
Zainal Abidin said on Tuesday.

The executive Dwipangga train from Surakarta, Central Java,
arrived at Gambir at 11:05 a.m., about six hours after the
scheduled arrival time of 5:30 a.m. -- JP
