More one-way traffic introduced

The city will introduce new one-way traffic regulations in a number of areas in East, South and West Jakarta in a bid to further facilitate traffic flow, the Traffic and Land Transportation Control Agency announced yesterday.

The new regulations in East Jakarta and South Jakarta will be implemented starting tomorrow, while those in West Jakarta will go into effect starting on Tuesday, Murachman, the head of the agency's traffic affairs section, said.

In East Jakarta, the traffic flow will be directed from the north to the south on Jl. Pembina Timur and Jl. Nanas; from the south to the north on Jl. Galursari Timur, and from the east to the west on Jl. Kelapa Puan.

In South Jakarta, traffic on Jl.Rusli Hakim will run from east to west, Jl.Manila from north to south and Jl. Jamblang will serve traffic flowing to the north.

In West Jakarta, the south part of Jl. Taman Daan Mogot I will only serve traffic to the west, while the north side will serve traffic to the east. (23)
