More on new look of the 'Post'

Having been a loyal reader of The Jakarta Post for the last 11 years, I can only agree with the comments of Adrianus Hiyung Tjung in his letter published on Oct. 25. The Post is increasingly turning into a tabloid, with editorials of rather dubious insight and wisdom.

Despite some excellent articles such as those in the Oct. 25 edition by Aboeprijadi Santoso and Polly Toynbee, sadly my daily "good read" has been reduced to about 15 minutes in length.

Since by far the majority of the Post's quality articles originate from overseas newspapers and news agencies, it would be extremely easy for a competitor to put together an improved alternative.

It would certainly be good for Indonesia to have a better English-language daily that could offer a far more accurate picture of this country to the rest of the world.
