Villagers found a head, a left upper leg and two lower legs severed at the knee floating on the Cileungsi river on Friday in Klapa Nunggal district, Bogor regency. The body parts allegedly belong to a mutilated torso found in the river, two kilometers away, the previous day.
An officer with the Bogor Police Adj. Comr. Thamrin Sugiono said that the villagers, Enjum, 39, Acep, 39 and Emin, 30, were fishing when they found three plastic bags floating on the river. When they opened the bags, they found the body parts.
"Police are currently investigating the case and trying to search for both arms and the right upper leg," Thamrin said.
The Bogor Indonesian Red Cross Hospital's forensic doctor, Dr. Zulkasmar Syamsu said that the victim was estimated to be in the early 20s and she was killed four days ago after being beaten on the head with a dull object.
Doctors are waiting for police' permission to perform an autopsy.
