Monkey business
From Suara Karya
A few days ago my wife received a call from a lady by the name of Diana informing her that she had won first prize in the Hero Supermarket lottery. Diana then invited us to come to Setiabudi Building II in Jl. Rasuna Said, Jakarta on Sept. 26, 1995 at 3 p.m. for further information on our prize -- a trip to Bali.
She also said there would be an advertisement designing activity there. On our way to the building, my wife was still confused about the lottery in which she had never participated. Upon arrival we noticed on the door the clearly written words "Kuta Privilege Club." We were immediately aware that we had been deceived.
Other couples were there, who, I guessed, had become other victims of Diana's deceit. Later I found out that Diana was an office girl at the "tele-marketing" club.
This must have been a misappropriation of the name the Hero Supermarket and Hero should do something about it. It is also time for the Minister of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications to review the business permit of this untrustworthy club.
