Money works wonders

The equivalent Japanese proverb to "Money makes the mare go" says: Even in hell, money plays an important role.

I have recently heard and seen many things which justifies the truth of the above saying.

Since ancient times money has played an important role in life, but never before has the matter been more clear than today. The following example may prove my point.

On TV I saw a three-year-old baby suffering from hydrocephalus or an oversized abnormal head as big as a football. The TV announcer told viewers that the child could not get medical treatment for lack of money. The child's hopeless and forlorn look in his eyes will undoubtedly rouse a feeling of sympathy from TV viewers.
