Money is too powerful to resist

I am not surprised to hear that the former religious affairs minister Said Agil Hussein Al-Munawar was summoned over the misappropriation of the haj fund. I had predicted that he could not hide the rotten meat in his house forever. Sooner or later the public would come to know of the scandal.

I support The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)'s reaction to the scandal. But the KPK must clean up not only the ministry of religion but other ministries as well.

Corruption is like tooth decay. You want to pull out the tooth but it hurts, so you keep pushing it with your fingers. You may be one of the most idealistic people in the world because you do not have the right position. Once you are in a key position I am sure you will not be able to hold on to your idealism. Money has great power, hence people are lured to commit graft.
