Mom, baby suffer food poisoning

BANDUNG: A mother and her two infant children had to be
treated in hospital on Monday suffering from what was believed to
be food poisoning after drinking a carton of milk.

Eva, 40, and her two daughters Silvia, 3, and Rinjani, 1.5,
were all in a stable condition Monday evening but were still
being treated at Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Antara reported.

According to the father, Yanto, 43, the four had been minding
the family's bakso (meatball) stand at Panoram market that
afternoon.

Then, as a milk vendor passed by, Silvia cried out for some
milk.

Yanto said his two daughters and his wife shared the carton of
milk which cost Rp 1,500.

Soon after the three of them began to feel sick.

Yanto admitted that he neglected to check the expiry date on
the milk carton. (mds)
