Mob kills alleged playboy

GROBOGAN, Central Java: Residents beat a man, identified as
Sukardi, 27, to death on Monday for allegedly sleeping with a
number of married women in Sidoarjo village here.

"Sukardi was attacked by a group of people who said they were
tired of his behavior," local police chief Lt. Col. Sukirman said
on Tuesday.

Sukardi was taken to a nearby hospital but died due to severe
head and chest injuries.

"We're very concerned about this case. People must not take
the law into their own hands," he said. No arrests were reported.
