MNA adds Kupang flights

JAKARTA (JP): State-owned Merpati Nusantara Airlines (MNA) has increased from eight to 10 the number of its flights from Denpasar to Kupang, the capital of East Nusa Tenggara.

Merpati manager of corporate affairs Imam Turidy said on Friday the increase was in response to a steadily rising demand.

Merpati uses Boeing 737s and Fokker F-28s to serve the route.

East Nusa Tenggara has borne the heaviest brunt of East Timorese refugees fleeing the violence in their province. (01)
