Mitsubishi chief resigns
TOKYO: The chairman of Mitsubishi Motors Japan, Hirokazu Nakamura, has resigned.
He quit last week because of his involvement in corruption scandals involving corporate "Sokaiya" gangsters.
Nakamura was something of a sacrificial lamb for Mitsubishi.
At a press conference late last week to announce his departure, he said he accepted responsibility for his firm's part in a scandal involving donations to racketeer Terubo Tei.
