Mission of love and kindness

Despite the Bali and Australian Embassy bomb attacks, Australia has expressed its deepest sympathy to Indonesia for the loss of lives from the tsunami devastation.

The Indonesian people should know why foreign troops and aid workers are in Aceh. They are on missions of kindness, love, mercy and compassion and are above business, politics and religion.

The Australian people heard the cries and suffering of the Acehnese. Many nations volunteered to help with the best of intentions. In the aftermath of this disaster we are witnessing true peace, mutual trust and cooperation among nations and different peoples -- a new antiterrorist outlook. Some good things can come out of a earthquake and tsunami.
