Miss Universe raises Rp 4m

JAKARTA: Visiting Miss Universe' 94 Sushmita Sen raised some Rp 4 million from donors for victims of recent tidal waves in East Java during a visit to a shopping center in Jakarta on Sunday.

Sen, who comes from India, chipped in Rp 1 million to the fund, and collected the other three million from guests and shoppers at the Keris Gallery shopping center in Central Jakarta.

The guests included a small number of expatriate Indians and representatives from a number of foreign embassies here. (par)
