Minivan drivers go on strike

KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: Thousands of students and workers were stranded when minivan drivers went on strike here on Thursday.

Antara reported the drivers were protesting the local government's decision to allow some 10 buses owned by a private company to operate in the city.

The peaceful protest ended in the afternoon, the news agency said.(byg)
