Minister installs new STPDN rector

BANDUNG: Minister of Home Affairs Hari Sabarno officially
installed on Friday I Nyoman Sumaryadi as the rector of the
Institute of Public Administration (STPDN) in Jatinangor,
Sumedang regency, West Java province.

Sumaryadi replaced Sutrisno, who had already moved and assumed
a new post in Jakarta last year, following several incidents of
hazing in the institute that claimed the lives of two students,
including second year student Wahyu Hidayat.

Wahyu died as a result of injuries inflicted by some 20 senior
students at the institute last year for failing to attend a
gubernatorial function in Bandung. -- JP
