Mini-M connections

I am writing in response to Mr. Soren Lax's letter (June 27).

I would like to thank Mr. Lax for his positive input regarding his Mini-M which could not be reached through a local PSTN line. On June 27 I tried to call his Mini-M number 001 873761314630 from my PSTN phone 021 3450624, and I had no problems getting through.

I called Captain Pak Sugari on board his yacht, and successfully reached him four out of five times. I advised Pak Sugari to call me back on 006 2213450624, and he had no problems getting through after I told him to shift the channel from station 12 in Holland to Indosat Inmarsat Jatiluhur access code 007, by entering JLI-stands for Jatiluhur Indonesia. I asked his daughter to call the terminal on board the yacht, and it was a successful call.

It should be noted that Inmarsat Mini-M is specifically designed for static land-based and non-mobile applications or on a moving yacht. As your Mini-M terminal is operational on Indonesian territory, I recommend you change to our Jatiluhur station by entering JLI.

I did not find any indication of technical fault by Indosat. Therefore, to reach your terminal please dial as follows:

PSTN to your Mini-M 001 873 76 1314 630.

From your Mini-M to PSTN (your home number) 006221 841 4266.

From your Mini-M to others 0087376, plus the Mini-M terminal numbers.
