Minangkabau Airport gets new paintings

PADANG, West Sumatra: Eight West Sumatra painters on Wednesday handed over 14 paintings to the West Sumatra provincial government to be displayed at the newly built Minangkabau International Airport.

The paintings are mostly about Minangkabau nature and culture.

The painters donated the paintings in order to beautify the airport and enhance people's appreciation of Minangkabau culture, said Yasrul Sami, one of the painters. -- JP
