Milk warehouse robbed

BOGOR: Eleven men, armed with machetes and sickles, made off with Rp 50 million and a truck after robbing the warehouse of the Bendera milk factory in the Semplak district of Bogor regency on Friday.

A security guard for PT Infra Mega, which owns the warehouse, told police in the Kemang area of Bogor that the theft occurred at about 2 a.m. He said the thieves tied up Joni, 20, and his colleague, Ardiansyah, 20, who were patrolling the site at the time, as well as nine employees sleeping on the premises.

The thieves forced the victims to show them the office of the head of the warehouse, where they found the cash box containing the Rp 50 million. The thieves also stole the keys of a company truck, which they used for their escape.--JP
