Military officers caught with hashish

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Police in the Medan Sunggal district on Friday detained five military officers caught with 60 kilograms of hashish in their car.

They were detained by police during a regular drug sweep in the greater Medan area.

Antara reported police discovered the contraband when they stopped a Suzuki Carry minivan with Aceh license plates.

During questioning, the five military officers stationed in North Aceh admitted they were going to sell the hashish to a dealer in Medan.

Four of the five officers were sergeants, while the other was a private.
