Military honors

The success of the polls cannot be separated from the
contribution of all parties involved -- non-governmental
organizations, the public, the Indonesian Military and the
National Police, the government and the political parties. They
all have tried to create a conducive atmosphere during the
campaigning and on polling day.

Interestingly, much appreciation is due the consistency of the
Indonesian Military in implementing its new paradigm. I could
find no partial attitude on its part in its treatment of the
different parties. Moreover, the military and the police created
a sense of security which enabled polling to be undertaken in a
peaceful manner.

I am happy and proud with the success and the results of the
poll. I appreciate the fine contribution of the Military and
Police.
