Military captures four rebels

BANDA ACEH, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam: Government troops
captured four Free Aceh Movement (GAM) members and confiscated
four firearms and dozens of rounds of ammunition during a raid in
a number of districts in Aceh on Saturday.

"All the four rebels along with the evidence are now in the
hands of the authorities," spokesman for the military operation
in Aceh, Lt. Col. Asep Sapari, said on Sunday.

The four rebels were identified as Maskur Arifin, 30, from
East Aceh, Mamin, 32, from Aceh Jaya, Ibrahim, 24, from Banda
Aceh and Dedi, 21, from South Aceh.

Also on Saturday, another GAM member, identified as Usman, 29,
from East Aceh, surrendered himself to the local military. Usman
is known as the rebels' arms supplier. -- Antara
