Mild quake hits Lampung

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: A mild underwater earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale occurred Wednesday morning sending tremors to the western part of Lampung.

The geophysical station in Kotabumi, North Lampung, registered the earthquake at 11:56 a.m.

The epicenter of the quake was located approximately 200 kilometers west of Panaitan Island, West Java.

Antara quoted a West Lampung military district officer as saying that there were no reports of damage caused by the earthquake.
