Microsoft ties up with universities

BOGOR: U.S.-based software producer Microsoft Indonesia via its Microsoft User Group Indonesia (MUGI) Bogor chapter conducted an information technology program in coordination with 13 universities in Bogor.

MUGI secretary Budi Susetyo said such programs had also been held in other regions.

However, he said, most Bogor residents were not familiar with cyber technology. "In view of residents' poor knowledge of computers, software applications and the development of software technology, MUGI would provide seminars for the local populace," Budi said. -- JP
