Microsoft opens office here

JAKARTA (JP): Microsoft Corporation, a multinational computer software company, has established a wholly-owned subsidiary here, called PT Microsoft Indonesia, to benefit from the robust growth of the country's information technology industry.

"We're starting our office here with a core team of managers and system engineers. We intend to expand our operations and beef up our staff strength rapidly so that we can adequately support and service our many business partners in Indonesia," Microsoft Indonesia's president, Andy BT Khoo, said at the launching ceremony.

In cooperation with its two authorized retail distributors -- PT Tech Pacific Indonesia and PT Sistech Kharisma -- Microsoft Indonesia plans to promote the development of reseller channels and to ensure the consistent supply of its products in the market.(13)
