Microsoft launches 'Office 97'
JAKARTA (JP): Microsoft Indonesia launched Office 97 yesterday. Office 97 is a software generation after Office 95 introduced two years ago.
The president of Microsoft Indonesia, Andy Khoo, said Office 97 was designed to enable internet users to maximize internet technology.
Office 97 is equipped with a facility which can accommodate 50 percent of codes to be used simultaneously by applicants compared to only 12 percent in Office 95.
He said Microsoft spent three years developing the new software product at a cost of US$200 million.
Indonesia is among the first Southeast Asian countries in which market will be marketed. (09)
