Merpati's apology

We are responding to Mr. Kenneth J. White's complaint over Merpati's services published in The Jakarta Post, June 1, 1996, entitled Merpati sally.

We would hereby like to extend our deepest apology for our inconvenient service which upset the happiness of your 14th wedding anniversary.

Having carefully considered your complaint, we are glad you brought the matter to our notice as an input for the improvement of our future services. In this case, we have already contacted our staff in Surabaya and Denpasar and talked about the matter.

Further, we take this opportunity to inform you that our management has decided to give you a free ticket (one time) for a return trip with Merpati from Bandung to any destination you want as a 14th wedding anniversary gift.

We kindly inform you that Merpati serves Denpasar from Bandung twice a day, at 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., with a stopover in Surabaya.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience you have suffered and we still hope to serve you on your next trip. Thank you for your kind attention and we wish you happiness on your 14th wedding anniversary.
