Merpati readies extra flights

JAKARTA (JP): State-owned air carrier Merpati Nusantara
Airlines will operate 68 extra flights on four routes to meet an
expected surge in passenger load during the year-end and Idul
Fitri holiday.

The airline said on Tuesday the extra flights would increase
capacity by about 6,664 seats on four routes from Dec. 21 this
year to Jan. 4, next year.

The four return routes are Jakarta-Medan, Jakarta-Denpasar,
Surabaya-Denpasar and Surabaya-Makassar. (cst)
