Merpati plans new uniforms

JAKARTA: Merpati Nusantara Airlines plans to change the
uniforms of its cabin crew.

The state airline has opted for uniforms designed by top
Indonesian designer Prayudi.

The change in the uniform is aimed at creating a new image,
Merpati president Ridwan Fatarudin was quoted by the Antara news
agency as saying.

Prayudi's creation was selected from the among the creations
by other designers, including Hary Dharsono, Ramli, Hanum Gularso
and Arthur Harland. (05)
