Menara Gading housing launched

JAKARTA (JP): A listed property company, PT Putra Surya Perkasa (PSP), will start construction of an apartment complex named "Menara Gading" in Central Jakarta with a total investment of Rp 185 billion (US$79.56 million).

"The apartment complex will have seven towers. The construction of the first 26-story tower will start on May 26," PSP's marketing director Sarkoro Handayani said, adding that the construction of the first tower will be ready in May next year.

Sarkoro said in a press conference on Tuesday the development is targeted at young executives who earn Rp 3 million to 4 million.

"Many developers sell apartments and condominiums to expatriates or to people who want an investment. But not us," he said.

He said the tower would have 206 units and two penthouses.

The company is offering many types of apartments, such as one bedroom (59 sqm), two bedrooms (68 sqm) and three bedrooms (93 sqm) types, Sarkoro said.

He said the complex would be equipped with a swimming pool, a tennis court and a fitness center.

"With a monthly installment of Rp 1 million, the executive can move into his or her own apartment," he added. (jun)
