Mega to open Science Olympics

PEKANBARU, Riau: President Megawati Soekarnoputri is slated to
open the National Science Olympics to be held here from Aug. 24
to Aug. 28.

"We have received confirmation (of her attendance)," head of
the provincial education office, Prof. Tengku Dahril, who also
heads the event's organizing committee, said on Thursday.

An exhibit, a symposium and performances will also be held in
conjunction with the science Olympics, he added. -- Antara
