Mega to inaugurate stadium in Malang

MALANG, East Java: President Megawati is scheduled to lay the cornerstone of a new sports stadium in the East Java town of Malang on Jan. 22.

Local government spokesman Soegiantoro said the Rp 19 billion (US$2.2 million) stadium would be constructed on a 44,440-square- meter plot of land.

The stadium will provide indoor and outdoor facilities for various kinds of sports such as swimming, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton and soccer. -- Antara
