Mega to inaugurate container seaport

MANADO, North Sulawesi: President Megawati Soekarnoputri is
scheduled to visit Bitung municipality in North Sulawesi province
to inaugurate a container port.

Monunutu, spokesman for the North Sulawesi provincial
administration, said on Saturday Megawati would arrive in Manado
on Monday and was scheduled to stay overnight, before
inaugurating the port in Bitung municipality on Tuesday.

The President is expected to return to Jakarta immediately
after the inauguration ceremony, Monunutu said.

The container port is expected to provide a boost to North
Sulawesi's economy by improving the province's exports. -- Antara
