Mega receives new ambassadors

JAKARTA: President Megawati Soekarnoputri received on Thursday
the credentials of the new Vatican envoy and the Philippine
ambassador to Indonesia.

The Vatican has appointed Mgr. Patabendige Don Albert Malcolm
Ranjith as its new envoy to Indonesia, while the Philippines
named Shulan O. Primavera to fill the ambassadorial post here.

After the ceremony at Merdeka Palace. the two ambassadors met
the President, who was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs
Hassan Wirayuda. --JP
