Medical supply for RSCM

JAKARTA (JP): International social fund raiser Rotary Club Jakarta Menteng's president Kris H. Sulisto donated on Thursday medical supplies worth US$200,000 to the Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM).

The medical supplies were received by the hospital's director Hermansyur Kartowisastro in a ceremony at Hotel Mandarin Oriental in Central Jakarta.

The Club's Jakarta Menteng vice president, Deanna Ann Duguid, said the hospital was appointed to help Rotary distribute the supplies, which include wheel chairs, masks, bandages and drapes, to support the hospital's operation and help needy patients.

Hermansyur said the hospital would first use the medical supplies for its internal use as 80 percent of its patients come from lower economic levels.

"If there are excess supplies, we will distribute them to other state-owned hospitals," he said.(06)
