Master plan for Aceh, Nias signed

JAKARTA: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono signed on Friday a
presidential regulation on the master plan for the reconstruction
of tsunami-devastated Aceh and earthquake-hit Nias, North
Sumatra, State Secretary Yusril Ihza Mahendra said.

He explained that the master plan consisted of pictures of
roads and beaches in the two natural disaster-hit regions.

"Details of the master plan include pictures of beaches,
roads, etc," Yusril said, declining to elaborate further.

He said earlier that three days after the signing of the
regulations, a government regulation on reconstruction and
rehabilitation of the people's lives in Aceh and Nias would be
signed.

It would later be followed by a presidential decree on the
appointment of personnel in charge of carrying out the
reconstruction and rehabilitation work, he said. --Antara
