Marine shot in theft attempt

JAKARTA: In an attempt to keep his motorcycle, Nursamsi, 45, a member of the Marine Corps, was shot in his leg by one of four robbers late on Thursday.

Nursamsi and his friend, Jaimin, were having dinner in a food court on Jl. Kedoya Duri, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, when four men were seen trying to steal Nursamsi's motorbike, which was parked outside.

Nursamsi was shot as he tried to run after them.

The four left the motorcycle and fled. The Kebon Jeruk Police are still searching for the robbers. -- JP
