Marijuana goes up in smoke

JAMBI, Jambi: The Jambi Prosecutor's Office destroyed 16
kilograms of marijuana by setting it on fire on Tuesday, Antara
reported.

The marijuana was seized by Bungo Tebo District Police
from a South Aceh villager during an operation on the Sumatra
Highway last year.

The man, who was on his way to Jakarta, has since been
convicted and sentenced to two years' imprisonment. (09)
