Many fail to pick up IDs

Tens of thousands of South Jakartans have not collected their identification documents, leaving bundles of ID cards at the mayoralty population affairs office.

Firdaus Asman, the head of South Jakarta Population Affairs Office, said over the weekend that between 15 and 20 percent of people who have their ID cards renewed have not picked up their citizenship documents. (09)
