DILI, East Nusa Tenggara: Director General of Culture Edi
Sedyawati will open on June 19 an exhibition of ancient
manuscripts of the provinces of Bali, East Nusa Tenggara, West
Nusa Tenggara and East Timor.

Antara quoted head of East Timor Museum Paulus Susilo as
saying yesterday that the exhibition is being organized by the
directorate of the museum with four state-run museums in the four
provinces.

Most of the manuscripts were written on palmyra leaves.

The museums' collection of ancient manuscripts will be
displayed in the following categories: social affairs, religions,
arts, education, science and technology, and souvenirs. (swe)
