Manuk appointed Lembata regent
MAUMERE, East Nusa Tenggara: Andreas Duli Manuk and Felix Kobun are Lembata's first elected regent and deputy regent, respectively.
Lembata administration spokesman Simon Tokan said on Wednesday the two would serve five year terms. The pair defeated the duo of Piter Boliaman Keraf and Alowisius Liliweri by 12 votes to seven in an election in the local legislature.
Piter, who is acting Lembata regent, was also paired with Josef Suban Olong in the election, and this duo received two votes.
