Man's family calls on shamans

DENPASAR, Bali: The family of Eddy Erfan, the missing taxi driver whose vehicle was found abandoned three days ago, has enlisted the help of paranormals after a search proved fruitless.

"We have asked six soothsayers to help find my nephew who has been missing since Saturday night," Abdullah, Eddy's uncle, said on Tuesday.

He acknowledged the shamans gave varying accounts on what happened to Eddy.

"Some have told me that he is already dead while others say he is alive," he said as quoted by Antara.

"Some have even said that Eddy was caught in a tree and then helped down by someone ... This is just adding to the confusion of our family."

The Pan Wirti taxi driver's car was found abandoned on a cliff near Candikuning, Tabanan, late Saturday night. (mds)
