Man's body found in gutter

JAKARTA: The body of man clad only in his underwear was found in a gutter in the Kemang Villa housing complex in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, on Tuesday evening.

City police said on Wednesday a resident found the man's body already in a state of decomposition, which suggested he had died several days ago.

Officers found a wallet nearby with the identification card of Korean Kim Young Hie, 40, who owns a business in Jakarta.

The identity of the dead man had not yet been established, police said.

Suspecting foul play was involved, police have sent the body to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for an autopsy. -- JP
