Mangrove case files returned, again
JAKARTA: The Jakarta Prosecutor's Office returned to the police for the third time on Monday the files on three suspects accused of uprooting 240 mangrove trees in the Angke forest reserve.
"The prosecutors keep returning the files, saying they need more information, but we still don't know exactly what additional information they require," Jakarta Police investigator Comr. Tato said on Monday.
He added that his subordinates were discussing the problem with prosecutors.
The police first submitted the files on suspects Francis Moniaga of the PT Rainbow Cipta Utama advertising firm, Agus Suseno of the PT Grand Skylindo advertising firm, and Purwadi, an executive of toll road operator PT Jasa Marga, in June.
The three allegedly were responsible for uprooting the trees to provide a clear view of outdoor advertisements. -- JP
