Mandara Spa wins Asia Crystal Awards

DENPASAR: Bali-based Mandara Spa made a splash at the inaugural Spa Asia Crystal Awards announced in Singapore last Thursday.

The company took six Spa Awards including the best Spa Group/Brand category.

"Over the past few years, we have been consolidating our business, working hard to build the quality of what we offer and to reinvigorate our brand," said Jeff Matthews, president and chief operating officer of Mandara Spa.

The awards, organized by Spa Asia Media Pte.Ltd began earlier this year when Spa Asia magazine called for readers to nominate their favorite resorts in 47 categories. There were 120 nominees.

The winners were determined by an independent panel of judges who considered customer feedback, presentation submissions and mystery shopper visits to come up with the winners. The results were submitted to PricewaterhouseCoopers for an audit. -- JP
