Man produces fake lubricant

PURWOKERTO, Central Java: The Banyumas police caught on Friday
Bambang Hermanto, 45, suspected of producing fake lubricant, in
Sukoharjo regency, Central Java.

As the owner of a fake lubricant factory at Sokaraja Kidul
village, Sokaraja subdistrict, in the Sukoharjo regency, Bambang,
who is also a former waste collector, is the main suspect in the
newly uncovered fake lubricant scam in the regency.

Interrogated by police on Monday, Bambang admitted his
wrongdoing and said that he had to turn to making the fake
products because tough competition made him unable to develop his
business.

Bambang told police that he sold the fake lubricant in cans
under various brands. He produced the cans themselves, a credit
to his 20-year experience as a waste collector in Jakarta. (45)
