Man found dead in well

TANGERANG: A young man was found dead floating in a well behind his parent's house in Baru Village, in the Serpong district of Tangerang regency on Tuesday morning.

Kardin, 45, a neighbor said on Tuesday that he saw the victim, identified as 22-year old Heri Fachrudin setting fire to a tire around his waist on Monday afternoon.

When he asked the victim why he was doing it, the victim told him that he was testing magic powers he had learned from an angel.

"I then left him but when I came back five minutes later, he was not around. I thought he had entered his parent's house", he said.

Another neighbor Saenah, 38, who was going to take water from the well near the house of the victim's parents was shocked after she saw a body floating in the deep well.

As the body was taken out, residents identified it as Heri Fachrudin. Neighbors described Heri as an introverted boy. He had just graduated from senior high school last year.--JP
