Man found dead in HI parking lot

JAKARTA: A man was found dead in the parking lot of the Hotel
Indonesia (HI) in Central Jakarta at about 12 p.m. on Thursday.

A driver from state-owned telecommunication company PT Telkom
found the body, with head injuries and broken arms and legs,
lying next to a blue Toyota Kijang.

The man was identified as 40-year-old Teguh Suryanto. The
victim was carrying two ID cards, but they had different
addresses. He also had a press card from Prospek magazine.

A hotel security guard, Febrizal, said Teguh was neither a
hotel guest or employee. The Menteng Police are still
investigating the exact cause of death.

The victim was taken to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital morgue
on Jl. Salemba in Central Jakarta. -- JP
