Man dies on the saddle

A 52-year-old man died after making love with his own niece at a low-class hotel in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Sunday.

Based on preliminary observations and the married woman's confessions, local police said that the man, identified only as US, died of a heart attack, Post Kota reported. The daily, however, did not give details on the man's marital status nor his profession.

During police questioning, the victim's niece, identified as Ah, 22, said that she was asked by his uncle to accompany him to the hotel to take a rest before going home after shopping at a nearby shopping center.

Ah, an employee of a cosmetic firm, was living temporarily with her uncle in Jakarta, while her child and husband live in Ciamis, West Java.

After paying Rp 14,000 (US$6.40) for the room's rent, the couple went to the second floor of the hotel.

Inside the room, Ah said, US asked his niece to make love with him. She said she only agreed out of fear that her uncle would get mad.

Seconds after he reached orgasm, Ah said, US took a long, final breath. Suddenly, she realized that the man lying on top of her was not showing signs of life. She pushed his body off, grabbed her clothes and then screamed for help. (bsr)
